About John Fattahi
Mr. Fattahi has been practicing law since 2006, and has been litigating police misconduct and excessive force cases almost exclusively since 2008. He was selected to the Southern California Super Lawyers Rising Stars list each year from 2015-2019.
Before opening his own practice in 2011, Mr. Fattahi was an Associate at the Law Offices of Dale K. Galipo, where he had primary responsibility for litigating a large number of false arrest and excessive force cases, many of which involved fatal police shootings.
A native of Whittier, California, Mr. Fattahi graduated from UCLA Law School, where he served as a Senior Editor of the UCLA Law Review. After serving for one year as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Virginia A. Phillips in the Central District of California, Mr. Fattahi litigated high-stakes commercial disputes and prisoner civil rights cases at one of the most prestigious and selective law firms in the world, Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP.
